Dark Night (Overlord's)

Dark Night (Overlord's) weapon.

A weapon is an item that can be equipped and used to cause physical damage.

This sort of item contributes to the characters attack, accuracy, HP, SP, damage bonus, critical strike rate, damage reduction, critical strike resist, technique and parry stats.

There are several types of weapons available and each profession has a certain weapon type it specializes with.

Weapon slot

Weapons are equipped in the weapon slot. Each character has one weapon slot available.

Weapons have durability. Durability decreases proportional to the number of hits. Durability of player crafted weapons can be recovered, while other weapons require Almighty Repair Kits. Repairing at Blacksmith will decrease their maximum durability which cannot be recovered ever again.

Weapons have weight attribute and they will take a part of the characters load regardless if they are equipped or not.

Weapons are divided in two main categories:

  • Melee weapons - used to damage opponents in hand-to-hand combat.
  • Ranged weapons - used to damage opponents at distances greater than hand-to-hand distance.

Further divided, melee weapons are:

  • Sword
  • Falchion
  • Axe

while, ranged weapons are:

  • Gun
  • Bow

Trivia

  • If there are no weapons equipped in weapon slot, character will automatically use his fists to fight opponents.
  • Originally, guns were not losing durability. This was changed later in Atlantis version.
