The Jadeite has been known since the ancient times not only for its beauty but also for its alleged power of healing eye diseases. It is essentially identical to other types of beryl in composition and properties but contains sufficient chromium to impart a bright green color. |

- Jadeite was originally called Emerald. In The Pirate King's Treasure version it was renamed to Jadeite to avoid confusion due to introduction of a new level 12 trade good which was also called Emerald.
